THE MOEVA ARCHIVE: SIGNATURES THROUGH TIME

From iconic swimwear designs to resortwear and ready-to-wear collections; a story spanning from 2012 to today. Destinations, collections, names and the moments that have shaped the Moeva world over the years.

Some brand stories begin with a single piece; a silhouette, an image, or a design captured in the light of a summer evening. MOEVA's story began in 2012 as a swimwear brand founded in London. Over the years, however, that world expanded, with a design language rooted in swimwear evolving into resortwear, ready-to-wear and collections created to accompany different moments in life. Today, Moeva extends beyond womenswear with men’s and children’s collections, creating a broader lifestyle universe. What has changed is not only the scope of the collections, but also the names, destinations and images that have become part of Moeva’s story and visual archive.

THE STORY BEGINS WITH SWIMWEAR

In the beginning, everything revolved around swimwear. Moeva approached swimwear not simply as a seasonal category, but as the starting point for creating a distinctive design language. Sculptural forms, architectural cuts, original constructions and signature details gradually became defining elements of the brand’s visual identity. With each season, this language was reinterpreted through a different mood and destination; at times minimal, at times more daring, and at others built around the impact of a single silhouette. Swimwear became the starting point of Moeva’s aesthetic world, while the story itself continued to evolve far beyond the category.

BEYOND THE BEACH

Over time, the story moved beyond the beach. As a day by the pool naturally flowed into a long lunch, hours spent beneath the sun transitioned into cocktails at sunset, and Moeva’s resortwear world began to take shape. Kaftans, dresses, skirts, knitwear and versatile layering pieces became natural extensions of the same story established through swimwear. With the introduction of ready-to-wear collections, this world expanded further, transforming holiday dressing from a category reserved for vacation into a wardrobe designed to move effortlessly through different moments of the day. In time, the universe also grew to include men’s and children’s collections, creating a more expansive Moeva world. What began with swimwear has evolved into a broader fashion universe shaped around different styles, ages and ways of living.

A DIFFERENT WORLD EVERY SEASON

Looking through the Moeva archive, it is difficult to define the brand through a single aesthetic. Each season opened the door to a different atmosphere, destination and feeling. The serenity of the Mediterranean, the energy of tropical destinations, the timeless allure of the French Riviera and the quiet luxury of private resorts have all found their place within Moeva’s visual world. Sometimes a colour, a city or simply a particular mood became the starting point for a collection. The sources of inspiration changed; what remained was the confident character of the design. Strong silhouettes, femininity, distinctive details and a recognisable design language continued to create an invisible connection between seasons. In this sense, the Moeva archive is more than a collection of past designs; it is also a record of changing destinations, moods and approaches to style.

THE NAMES THAT BECAME PART OF THE STORY

Over the years, Moeva’s story has been accompanied by different names and personalities. Some appeared in campaign imagery, others in fashion editorials, while others were captured wearing Moeva in moments away from the red carpet. Jennifer Lopez became one of the names to interpret the brand’s strong and distinctive design language through her own iconic sense of style, while Kim Kardashian brought Moeva’s bolder side to the forefront through her signature silhouette-driven aesthetic. Coming from the world of fashion and the runway, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid brought Moeva into the realm of contemporary model style, while Rosie Huntington-Whiteley highlighted the brand’s more refined and effortless side.

The story continued through different eras with names including Elsa Hosk, Rita Ora, Cameron Diaz and Lindsay Lohan. Elsa Hosk’s minimal and modern interpretation, Rita Ora’s more energetic character and the different moments captured with Hollywood names reflected how Moeva designs could be reinterpreted without belonging to a single aesthetic. Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, Frida Aasen, Marta Lozano and Lena Perminova later added their own personal perspectives to the same design language. In Turkey, names such as Şeyma Subaşı, Gamze Erçel, Merve Oflaz and Şevval Şahin became part of different chapters of the Moeva story.

As the Moeva world expanded, men became part of the story too. Male influencers and content creators working across travel, fashion and lifestyle began incorporating Moeva’s men’s collections and resortwear pieces into their own summer wardrobes. What began around swimwear had evolved into a broader fashion story shaped by different styles and ways of living. What mattered was never simply who wore Moeva, but how each person brought a sense of their own character into the brand’s world. The same design could tell an entirely different story depending on who wore it.

WITHIN THE PAGES OF FASHION

Moeva’s story eventually found its way into the pages of leading fashion publications. Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE and L’Officiel have, across different periods, brought Moeva collections into their own editorial worlds. In a Vogue shoot, the sculptural and powerful side of a design might take centre stage, while within the pages of ELLE, the same aesthetic could become part of a more contemporary summer story. Harper’s Bazaar reimagined Moeva’s resortwear within a sophisticated holiday wardrobe, while L’Officiel highlighted the brand’s more contemporary and fashion-driven character.

This visibility continued to grow across a wider range of publications. From fashion-focused titles such as V Magazine and W Magazine to Marie Claire, InStyle, Glamour and Cosmopolitan, Moeva collections have been reinterpreted through different editorial perspectives. The story also extended into publications such as GQ, Esquire and Women’s Health, placing Moeva within entirely different editorial contexts. International editions became another important part of the archive, with appearances across Vogue India, Vogue Netherlands, Vogue Portugal, Harper’s Bazaar India, Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands, ELLE India and ELLE Netherlands strengthening Moeva’s connection with fashion communities across different regions. Each publication opened another window into the brand, while each shoot gave its design language a new atmosphere.

AS THE FRAME CHANGES

A brand’s story cannot be understood through its collections alone. Sometimes a single image can say more about a season than the collection itself. Jennifer Lopez’s powerful presence, Gigi Hadid’s contemporary model aesthetic, Kim Kardashian’s distinctive approach to silhouettes, Elsa Hosk’s bold yet minimal attitude and Rita Ora’s more daring interpretation all reflect how different eras and aesthetics have found their place within the Moeva world. The archive therefore represents more than a history of fashion; it also captures the evolution of style, travel culture and modern resort living over the years.

THE MOEVA WOMAN

At the centre of these images is a distinct character who embodies the Moeva world. She travels, explores and dresses for herself; moving effortlessly from the Mediterranean coast to a city hotel and from daytime to late-night moments, carrying her own sense of style wherever she goes. For Moeva, a piece has therefore never belonged to a single moment alone. Swimwear may be the starting point, resortwear carries the story into the rest of the day, while ready-to-wear continues it into the city. Different collections become part of the same wardrobe, accompanying different moments of the same lifestyle.

BETWEEN DESTINATIONS

Moeva’s story began in London, but it was never meant to remain within a single city. From the Mediterranean coast to the Maldives, from Bodrum to Antalya and to the Four Seasons Bosphorus in Istanbul, the same world has taken on different forms across different destinations. Each offered its own landscape, light and atmosphere, yet one idea remained constant: it was always about more than the destination itself; it was about the way of living it. Within Moeva’s design world, a destination is never simply a backdrop, but an integral part of the collection and the story surrounding it.

THE STORY CONTINUES

Looking back at Moeva since 2012, the story has never followed a single straight line. It has evolved, expanded and opened into new directions. A world that began with swimwear grew through resortwear and ready-to-wear, eventually becoming a more expansive universe with the addition of men’s and children’s collections. While destinations, collections and the visual world have continued to evolve, strong silhouettes, timeless design and a distinctive design language have remained at the heart of the story.

Moeva’s story began in 2012. Today, it is the story of a larger world where different people, destinations, styles and ways of life intersect. And now, that story continues with SS27. Building on the design codes that have shaped Moeva over the years while looking firmly towards what comes next, SS27 opens a new chapter for the brand. New silhouettes, new perspectives and a new season carry the Moeva world forward, continuing a story that is still being written.

The archive tells the story of where Moeva has been. SS27 begins the story of what comes next.
