The Moeva Story
MOEVA was founded in 2012 in London by three visionary women, Yağmur Zırh, Damla Aydın, and Burcu Tanman, with the aim of redefining the concept of luxury swimwear. At the time, there was a clear gap in the market, where products rarely combined both aesthetic appeal and functionality. Moeva emerged to fill this space.
What began as a search for the perfect swimsuit quickly evolved into a global brand identity, producing not only women's designer swimwear but also in the fields of designer resort wear and ready to wear. From its inception, MOEVA adopted an approach that understands the needs of the modern woman and responds to them through both design and performance.
Following its launch, MOEVA rapidly positioned itself by taking bold steps that set it apart within the industry. Rather than following trends, the brand focused on defining a new category.
By combining design and engineering, MOEVA developed the first belted women's swimsuits that create a slimmer silhouette and visually elongate the legs. This approach, merging strategy and aesthetics in women's swimwear, became the foundation of the brand’s signature design language. Supported by slim-fit constructions, cut-out details, and precision stitching techniques, these designs reflect MOEVA’s innovative approach to reshaping the female form.
This was followed by the brand’s advancements in laser-cut and reversible swimwear technologies, innovative constructions developed through proprietary fabric techniques, and pioneering silicone 3D bikini designs. Through its collaboration with Amoena®, MOEVA also introduced inclusive collections featuring specialized silicone-supported designs, offering swimwear for women post-breast cancer. In addition, MOEVA extended its innovation into menswear, developing swimwear for men using parachute fabrics that dry within two minutes after water exposure while maintaining luxury aesthetics and superior performance.
In the following years, MOEVA introduced the “beach-to-dinner” concept, bringing a new dimension to designer resort wear. This versatile approach, allowing seamless transition from beach to evening settings, was further enhanced by innovative knitwear and multi-functional designs, shaping the brand’s resort-to-ready identity.
As the brand evolved, its production philosophy became clearly defined: uncompromising quality.
The fabrics used in Moeva collections are sourced from leading Italian manufacturers and are carefully selected based on performance, durability, and tactile quality. All materials, supported by Lycra® Xtra Life™ certification, offer high resistance to sun, salt, and chlorine, ensuring long-lasting shape and color retention.
