Vogue World 2024 Live Updates: Red Carpet Coverage, News & Highlights - Moeva

For the third consecutive year, Vogue has captivated audiences with its dazzling Vogue World event. The 2024 edition was a lively and stylish celebration, brought to life in collaboration with youth athletic academies throughout France and inspired by the intertwined histories of sports and fashion.

“If Vogue World: New York was a street fair, and Vogue World: London was a glamorous night at the theater—supporting arts and cultural organizations in London—Paris will be a kind of opening ceremony; one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, as well as this extraordinary city," remarked Vogue Global Editorial Director and Condé Nast Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour during a press conference in February.

The grand event took place at the iconic Place Vendôme in the heart of Paris on June 23rd at 3pm EST. Hosted by the charismatic Cara Delevingne, the Vogue World 2024 livestream offered viewers a front-row seat to all the action, from the glitz of the red carpet to the main event. You can relive every magical moment on the liveblog here.

Let Vogue World: Paris Inspire Your New Beauty Look

Dame Pat McGrath, the legendary creative director of makeup for Vogue World Paris, delivered a mesmerizing array of beauty looks for the event. “It’s a decade-by-decade extravaganza of some of the most iconic looks I’ve created for the runway,” she said. “It’s a nod to my greatest hits, but each with a twist to represent a specific decade and sport for that section of the show.”

Known as “Mother” in the industry, McGrath’s creations were nothing short of spectacular. For the 1960s fencing section, she crafted gunmetal-gray glitter looks studded with diamanté, while the disco ball-inspired eyes for another segment dazzled with their brilliance. Each look was a testament to McGrath’s unparalleled artistry, making Vogue’s Paris celebration of style and sport an unforgettable visual feast.

Let Your Marine Serre Flag Fly

In a nod to sustainability and high fashion, the equestrian contingent at Vogue World 2024 proudly flew flags made from repurposed silk scarves by the avant-garde designer Marine Serre. Known for her innovative approach to fashion, Serre herself was in attendance, showcasing a striking outfit of her own design. Her presence and contribution underscored the event’s celebration of creativity, sustainability, and style.

The 2024 Vogue World event not only highlighted the symbiotic relationship between fashion and sport but also paid homage to Paris as a hub of innovation and elegance. From the red carpet glamour to the breathtaking performances and artistic displays, Vogue World 2024 was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended and watched.

Flashback to 1989
Anok Yai walked the runway in a custom tri-color Alaïa dress. It married look 20 from Pieter Mulier’s fall 2024 collection, which was like a couture version of a slap bracelet, only elegantly wrapped around the body, with a dress Azzedine himself had created for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution.

But that wasn't all! French athlete Marie-José Pérec, closed out the festivities in a recreation of that very same 1989 dress.
