Michael Kors Collection RTW Fall 2020

"His fall 2020 collection was a return to his Haute sportswear roots, full of cozy dressing classics and timeless outerwear. “The best clothes are like a security blanket — somehow when you put them on you feel like you are ready to face the world,” Kors said during a preview."

He leaned into the drama of well-made outerwear: Trench capes, blanket skirts and dresses, paisley smock dresses and riding boots solidified the season’s country chic trend, and a quilted cashmere poncho over scarf skirt added polish to the athletic-leisure conversation.

Front row guests included; after a two-year break, Blake Lively was back at Michael Kors on Wednesday night, alongside Issa Rae and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The clothes that Jacobs put on the runway reflected those many stages: pastel swing coats as fresh as an Easter Sunday suit, tailored trousers with crewneck sweaters, a grand shimmering party dress. On a surprising note, Miley Cyrus made a runway debut. The singer joined among other models for Marc Jacobs’ fall collection, Cyrus modeled a black bra-like top with matching trousers and was holding a zebra-print coat.

Front row guests included celebrities such as Nicki Minaj and supermodel Naomi Campbell.
