In Summer 2018 collection, Moeva was inspired by the book “De Divina Proportione”, written by Luca Pacioli and illustrated
by Leonardo Da Vinci.
The quest to create beauty in art and design made artists and architects integrate mathematical elements to their work. Pacioli described the application of geometry to art and architecture imbuing these art form with divine content in the book.Leonardo himself drew the geometrical illustrations for the manuscript. In his study of Divine proportion Pacioli first dealt with current thinking on theology, philosophy and music in the light of mathematics as expressed
in the golden ratio.
In this collection Moeva was inspired by how the great designs of modern architects such as Mario Botta applied these ratios into reality.The collection has well constructed pieces with small metal binding accessories. The connecting parts and accessories were inspired by architectural joint details and by the illustrations of Da Vinci. Sporty shapes have significant geometrical sense of design. Lastly the fringe pieces were inspired by the shadow games that Botta uses in his buildings. The shapes are cleverly designed to create a flattered body that gives a reference to the golden ratio.
For representing the essence of the #moevagirl, our creative director selected the Dutch beauty Marlijn Hoek due to her remarkable, unique elegance.
One more time, we had the pleasure to partner up Caudalie and use their amazing beauty products to create a strong and sophisticated look and to highlight the beauty of our #moevagirl.
