Unfortunately, even if they have absolute no harm against the environment, these species are under attack. Our rainforests couldcompletely disappearwithin 100 years if the current rate of deforestation continues. Therefore conservation of the species is crucial.

Forest elephants are the heart of theecosystems!

On top of being amazing creatures, elephants actually make life better for all of us, sometimes in surprising ways.

Here, human nature explores the 4 ways how these spectacular creaturesbenefit our lives.

1)They Fight with Climate Change

Especially in Africa, these wonderful creatures play a gigantic role in spreading tree seeds far and wide. They accessibility to such great distances makes them the largest delivery company in terms of delivering & distributing the tree seeds. Thus, they maintain the carbon inside and reduce the effects of climate change.

2) We Protect Them, They Increase Security

Poaching undermines the safety of locals causing violence between the hunters and villagers. Thanks to TheLewa Wildlife Conservancyin Kenya, rangers are trained and credentialed as police reservists, who respond to both wildlife and non-wildlife crimes in the area. LWC helped to defend the community and its wildlife from invading poachers

3) They Support Other Species

They are also known as ‘Ecosystem Engineers’.

Not only in savannas, grasslands, and forests, but elephants are also found in deserts, swamps, and mountains. Maintaining savanna ecosystems, excavating waterholes and fertilizing lands.

Simply and unsuspectingly they are helping other species.

4) Massive Economical Contribution To Locals

The economics of Southern Africa based on the tourism that these breathtaking creatures attract. In Kenya, the first elephant orphanage owned and operated by the local community “My Africa”. Community members are employed in saving orphaned elephants and returning them to the wild. The community nowbenefits directlyfrom wildlife tourism. The revenue generated from healthy elephant populations means community members can improve their homes, expand their businesses and send their children to school.

As Moeva, we believe in the good cause to help extinctspecies and to protect our ecosystem.

We must never neglect the universe we exist. No matter how far, one affects the other and together we effect to nature and its balance.
