It is not only photoshoots and runways that we sense the essence of fashion, there also movies.

But when said movies I am not talking about the movies you buy a ticket and go see, I am talking about movies that actually are fashion, has the sense of fashion all over it and most importantly, movies that are shot in the name of fashion.

Showstudio.com, a website by Nick Knight, the famous and talented photographer, is the home of new fashion in motion. The movies represented on the website catches the attention so quickly, and just makes you want to watch more and more.

Trying to analyse the meaning of each movie, you just find yourself being locked on to the screen and just clicking for more.

The visuality used in each and every one of these fashion movies just represents what fashion is really all about, colour, a deeper meaning and simply motion.

To Lee, With Love, Nick

'This film is my way of speaking about a very unique and important person who changed my life.

My desire was to speak in some way about the dark and the light contained within Lee, and within us all.' - Nick Knight

Lane Crawford S/S 201

"Since its foundation SHOWstudio has pioneered 3D scanning and motion capturing. For Lane Crawford’s S/S 2013 campaign Nick Knight pushed these technologies to their current limit by creatinga fashion film and images without using any photography. See scans of Ming Xi in looks from Givenchy, Proenza Schouler, McQueen and Haider Ackermann in these dynamic campaign shots. " (note from the website)

Fantasia

" Nick Knight's fashion film, Fantasia, is a free-wheeling exploration of joyous, unbridled movement in model and clothing alike. Harness to this the riotous creativity of some of fashion's greatest names and you have a mesmerising, full-throttle trip around the most sensational sartorial propositions of the past ten years."(note from the website)
