PINK OCTOBER 2022

One of the most meaningful things about October is that it marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the people who show awareness to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and support the progress.

When you’re told that you have breast cancer, it’s natural to wonder what may have caused the disease. What we do know is that breast cancer is always caused by damage to a cell’s DNA.

Women with certain risk factors are more likely than others to develop breast cancer. Most risk factors (such as having a family history of breast cancer) can’t be avoided.

Breast-self exams will help to be able to more easily identify any changes in your breast.

Let's be aware of the symptoms!

If breast cancer is detected early, can be properly treated and the woman can then enjoy a long and disease-free life.

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. So the only thing to be afraid of is if you don’t go get your mammograms.” – Cynthia Nixon.
